George Roter has been recognized as one of Canada’s leaders in the non-profit sector and believes that Canadians are passionate about driving social change. Mr. Roter will be our keynote dinner speaker on June 8, speaking on behalf of EWB with his thoughts on global engineering programs and curriculum strategies.

Dr. Ron Easteal, Associate Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology
Queen’s University

A multiple award winning instructor, Dr. Easteal will share his experience on a unique Master’s program entitled “A Graduate Program on the Teaching and Learning of Anatomy” in our Tuesday, June 8th afternoon plenary session. This program, which develops students to be University teachers in anatomy, may be an interesting model for graduate engineering programs.

Mr. Sean Conway, Special Advisor for External Relations to the Principal of Queen’s University

Mr. Conway’s extensive background in government and public policy as former Minister of Education, Colleges and Universities and Skills Development, Minister of Mines and Government House Leader, gives him the unique perspective of recognizing what engineers need to understand about cultural and societal elements and implications, their impact on society, and how society can and should impact them. He will also be speaking on Tuesday June 8th in our afternoon plenary session.
