CEEA-ACÉG Student Scholar Grant
CEEA-ACÉG is pleased to announce the opening of this year of the “Student Scholar Grant”. Graduate and Undergraduate students add significant value to our annual conference through their attendance and participation, but sources of funding for this type of academic activity are sometimes hard to secure. This grant is intended to help students who will be presenting at the conference but do not have access to sufficient funds to cover all their expenses. This is the third year of the three-year pilot program for this grant, but given it’s success, we are pleased that it will continue in the future. Up to 10 grants will be awarded. Recipients will get free registration to the conference, redeemable through an online code to enter during registration, as well as $500, transferred at the end of the conference. Please note that successful applicants residing in the conference host city will only receive free conference registration, since the $500 supplement is intended to help defray travel and accommodation costs. Applicants may only receive this grant once per degree.   To apply, please complete the form below. The form will ask for contact information, area and level of study, confirmation that you will be presenting at the conference (poster, oral presentation or other), confirmation that you do not have access to sufficient funds from other sources to cover your costs, and a short (maximum of 300 words) statement on your motivation to attend and participate at this conference, including how attending will support your research and professional development. The deadline to apply is April 24th, 2026. Successful candidates will be contacted by May 8th with a code to register to the conference for free (so if you are applying to this grant, please do not register until after they have been awarded), and instructions on how to receive the funds after the conference. The adjudication committee will consider the personal statement provided by applicants when selecting recipients, as well as give some priority to supporting the attendance of students from a diversity of institutions and PIs, and areas of research. Polytechnique Montréal will have the pleasure of welcoming you to the 2025 CEEA-ACÉG conference
In June 2025, Polytechnique Montréal will have the pleasure of welcoming you to the Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA-ACÉG) annual conference. Polytechnique Montréal is acclaimed as one of Canada’s leading teaching and research institutions. For 150 years now, it has pursued the mission of actively contributing to thinking, to technological evolution and to training the responsible engineers of tomorrow. To strengthen its commitment, Polytechnique brought together the full spectrum of engineering stakeholders in May 2023 for its Forum sur l’ingénieure et l’ingénieur de demain (Engineer of Tomorrow Forum). This one-day event fostered discussions on the evolution of training, and the exchange of viewpoints on the key challenges facing the younger generation of engineers as well as the attributes they must develop to achieve sustainability in research and engineering. It also served to kickstart an essential process of reflection on the aspirations of the next generation. By better understanding the challenges we face, we can respond more effectively in our training, in turn helping shape a better future in which engineering will play a key role in creating a sustainable, equitable and inclusive society. With that in mind, we invite you to take part in the CEEA-ACÉG conference days in June 2025. They will provide opportunities to network with your peers, to stay informed and to share innovative ideas that will have a positive and lasting impact on the emerging generation of engineers and on society in general. Save the date for this annual event right away!
